Claire's work is predominantly based on play, fantasy and fiction and she works across a range of disciplines using imagination as a starting point for her work. She is interested in making fantastical, psychedelic worlds, toys and objects that depict silliness and are presented in installations, videos and paintings.

Her work is inspired by her everyday experiences, and a mixture of sources including electro music, sweets, sci-fi/ supernatural films and plant life. Her practice usually derives from photographing, scanning or making miniature installation sets featuring tiny objects or funny necessities that are pleasing and humorous to both children and adults and then making the desighs large scale. She has worked extensively with latex, using this aesthetic personifies her work into supernatural or lifelike forms, giving the sense of something growing, organic or ‘poking through,’ like an unrequited interruption.

Alongside this work she explores and experiments with text, narrative and sound to describe the relationship that her work applies to both personal and modern concerns.

A recent graduate of the University of the Arts London, Claire has organized group shows in Peckham and Hoxton. She has completed work experience at London galleries Nettie Horn and Alma Enterprises and was involved with the events production at Zoo Art Fair in 2008. She has also worked as an artists assistant to Edwina Ashton and Henry Coleman and in 2007 she helped on large television productions at Nickelodeon and GMTV Kids in the prop making department .
